Elya coin is 1 year old – now comes new tech and a green transformation!
Elya is one of the projects I've been following closely since it's inception. The project just came out with a new White Paper describing the current status and plans for the future. I document worth reading! And it is also a truly GREEN project with an added emphasis on social and environmental aspects through it's new foundation part. In my opinion it's one of the most interesting crypto projects out there. Let me explain why.
Background:
Elya coin was born a little over one year ago. Elya however is much more than just another crypto coin. Elya is a concept in itself. It consists of a 3-dimensional universe made out of:
- ElyaTel - a mobile operator providing mobile phone services and an anonymous SIM card
- Elya Coin - a crypto coin used to buy air time for the ElyaTel SIM card
- Elya Foundation - a foundation aiming to make a social and environmental impact.
I'll break these down a little bit below.
Now the key connecting dots about the first 2 are obvious. You have a SIM card which is a crypto hardware wallet at the same time and you have the coin to use. Think about the possibilities this opens up:
- It provides a secure anonymous hardware platform for transactions and purchases.
- You can send money from one phone to another from anywhere to anywhere with minimal (even zero) cost.
- You can purchase goods and services easily and safely.
- You can use your phone as your portable bank account
As external payment systems (Visa, MasterCard etc.) will be integrated more and more with Elya it has an enormous potential to become a strong player in crypto payment platforms.

The Elya Foundation:
ELYA Foundation is a non-governmental organization, founded under European law and based in a neutral country. ELYA has dedicated itself to philanthropic goals. As of January 2019, ELYA has signed major philanthropic partnerships in order to improve daily life of people in multiple countries. These philanthropic partnerships are based on
the four elements listed below:
WATER
1 ELYA = 1 liter of drinkable water : partnership with SunWaterLife’s mobile
purification system. Using RFID smart card charged with ELYA will allow
people to receive 1 liter of drinkable water for 1 ELYA in remote areas of Asia

EARTH
Economists and commodity experts have created a workshop in order to peg
the price of the ELYA sovereign currency to the price of natural resources,

SUN
Off the grid nano solar plant that will allow individual users and small
businesses to go totally off the grid with ElyaTel and ELYA coin, paying for
energy and communications in ELYA Coin.

ELYA is accepted in the 77 bio vegetarian restaurants and salad bars
worldwide in 50 countries.

2020
January : Launch of ELYA Masternode Rewards
February : Listing on MasterNodes.online and MasterNodes.pro
April : ELYA branded Visa and Mastercards available with SMS verification sent to the ElyaTel sim card.
Also keep in mind that more partnerships are under negotiations and are not necessarily indicated on the above roadmap yet.
