ELONCITY - decentralizing power infrastructure into millions of self-sufficient microgrids

in #eloncity6 years ago

Poor management of energy consumption and demand for energy caused by a centralized management model, incorrect pricing calculations are the problems that cause a huge waste of resources and electricity around the world. These problems are designed to solve the Eloncity project, whose Whitepaper we are going to discuss today. Eloncity is a new project, cooperating with the marketing group Krypital, which causes even greater interest to it, since all previous projects of this group were very successful.

As you might guess, the project is built on a block of flats. Blocking can not be falsified, and when used in the energy sphere it allows direct monitoring and recording of renewable energy transactions, ensuring their reliability, safety and reliability. The use of a blockroom in the construction of a trading platform for the electric power industry is, of course, a serious step in the transition to modern technologies in the electricity trade market.

Why do we deal with renewable and pure energy? Because renewable energy is much safer, unlike fossil-fueled generators, which are often the cause of environmental disasters. In addition, the price of these resources is constantly growing. The extracted natural gas is more accessible than gasoline, but it also has a lot of shortcomings, including the risk of poisoning, leaks and so on. Long power lines, for example, are vulnerable to various natural disasters. The list can be continued. We see that it is renewable energy that is deprived of all the above risks and shortcomings, which is why this type of energy was chosen by the Eloncity project as a priority.

The AI Grid Foundation in Singapore, whose project is Eloncity, has been working for many years to improve the energy sector. The essence of their new project lies in the global transformation of the energy model, the transition from centralized production to the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind energy, and their lossless distribution through the use of blocking technology. Consumers will be able to exchange, buy and sell the amount of energy they need, avoiding excessive costs.

If we simplify the rather complex Eloncity system described in their Whitepaper, then we can say that it is built on highly efficient energy storage systems built with the help of intelligent networks and micro networks within different communities. All this provides an ideal flexible solution for the storage and distribution of renewable energy sources, capable of balancing supplies and transactions.

The Eloncity project will also use the ever-evolving technology of storage of batteries, small wind generators, photovoltaic arrays and renewable fuels. The deployment of new power facilities will help more communities build a decentralized intellectual micro network to balance local demand for energy. A local micro network is a new energy system in the scale of a single city.

To implement such a project, Eloncity will create a network energy protocol (ETCP), as well as various power storage facilities. The Eloncity Foundation will be divided into smaller micro networks, which will ensure a more efficient exchange of energy, while more users of the local network will become self-sufficient in terms of energy independence.

We can isolate the ETCP core, which is a transaction system based on the blockbuster. In real time, it, with the help of artificial intelligence, will ensure fair prices in the system. This pricing is called dynamic, and the transactions themselves will occur using the ECT token, the domestic currency of the system.

The whole project team is experienced, especially in the development of innovative products. For example, in 2014, the development of the BESS (battery storage system) was started. The first design of a self-contained camp on NetZero technology was created. Then followed its testing and commercial launch.

We can say a few words about the founder of the project Eloncity, Andy Lee, formerly head of ChinaCache, engaged in infrastructure on the Internet for the dissemination of content (CDN). In addition, Andy has mastered the development of network traffic in the Cisco System. His work helped to implement system intelligence, which far exceeds the traditional main distribution networks. Since 2014, Andy has been head of POMCube Inc., which develops intelligent networked battery storage systems ("BESS"). POMCube Inc. will be one of the technology partners of the Foundation in the implementation of experimental microcircuits of the Eloncity model for demonstrating the open ECTP standard. Andy was also the head of the Alibaba Cloud Computing Data Center Architecture team, which became a pioneer in the use of the DC system for mega-data centers in Asia. In 2018, Andy founded the Eloncity project. The main idea, driven by him, was to make renewable energy sources more convenient and economical, accessible to all and able to solve the world energy problem.

Eloncity, of course, breaks out of a number of things that were done earlier in the electricity sector on the blockbuster. The project uses the P2P-model of the trading platform for energy trading. The project's founder, Andy Lee, believes that blockbodies based on consensus are crucial for the future formation of a joint decentralized system for renewable energy. This will be an effective catalyst for electricity consumers, service providers, technology suppliers, financial partners, local authorities, civil society organizations and any other actors involved in these changes that will result in safer, cleaner and more economical energy consumption. The creators of the project believe that clean, renewable electricity will become its main source in the future.

It is not difficult to imagine that a project with such a thought-out system is waiting for success. Of course, those who want to invest in its tokens should thoroughly and independently study their Whitepaper, but my opinion is that so much worked out projects today are very few.

I Just posted a review of a project with similar goals focusing on increasing efficiency of renewable integration in energy grids. Bet you never heard of them (NRGcoin) and its because they dont care about marketing, just development. Would appreciate your thoughts on the project; https://steemit.com/blockchain/@altcoin-analysis/the-best-energy-coin-you-ve-never-heard-of-no-marketing-no-ico-no-hype-just-development
