A • What is called an electrical circuit?

An electrical circuit, in my own understanding, is a device that gives electrical current, which is something that has a path in which electricity can flow through it.

Mention the importance of circuits in electrical engineering.

In electrical engineering, electrical circuit are just like the backbone or pillar because they play a vital role in maintaining and building electrical structures.

Below are the importance of electrical circuits in electrical engineering

Safety: Electrical circuits protect electrical equipment, devices and also we humans from electrical and shock.

Control System: Electrical Circuits easily control electrical equipment used for industrial processes.

Power Distribution: Electrical Circuits enable easy flow of transmission and also distribution of power.

Sygnal processing: Electrical Circuits help in the provision of different signals for effective electrical communication.

Easy conversion of energy.

B • Mention at least two differences between the series circuit and parallel circuit.

It has a single path for electricity to flowHas more than one path for electricity to flow
If one component disappoints the entire component will stop operatingIf one component fails other component will continue operating
To get the actual resistance you sum up the total resistanceTo get the actual resistance you multiply the resistance divided by the sum of the total resistance

Note the above two circuits and mention their names, and calculate the total resistance of the two circuit. Assume any value of R1 and R2 but not the value specified in the course.

C •Take two pieces of wire and connect them properly. Be sure to mention consistent images and clear descriptions.

Of course the first step when joining two wire together is to is to remove the wire from its coating which i did with the help of my little knife, i was veey careful because i don't want to wound the wire.

I successful remove the coating from the wire and i used the same procedure in the second wire, i make sure it was 35 to 60 degree long in order to prevent any electrical fault.

I had to bind both wire together very strong so as to get a proper result, i first used my hand in doing it before using the pliers to properly bind it so that they can attach together.

I used my seal tape to wrap it very well so as to prevent electrical shock and also this is very important when joining two wire together.

D • After completing this lesson, write what you learn in your own words.

Before this class I didn't know the meaning of skinning or have any ideas about it, but after this class I have come to realise that skinning is the general name when you remove a wire from its coating.

I have learnt that when skinning a cable, it is best to cut it at 35 to 60 degree angle in order to prevent damage or electrical spark.
I always make this same mistake, and it has affected my work, so by attending this class, I am now more educated on this issue.

I have come to know about the two types of circuits and also how they work and when they are used.

I have also learned how to calculate the resistance in each circuit with the example given in the class. Also, in each circuit, we have two resistance.

To be honest, I don't know much about electricity and since it scares me a little I don't see myself doing this course, because I know that when I see a short circuit spark I leave everything thrown away and don't do it hehehe, however I congratulate you for being in this class .

Hahaha 😅 😆 😂 just like you most people are scared of electricity because of the shock and spark.

I have been shocked my electricity many time but my determination and love for it kept me going, this is my field in life and with attending this course i will improve my brain and also overall experience.
