On the day of the last general election 2015 in Nigeria something strange happened. It was as if I was the only person that noticed it in the whole country. I started accusing myself for watching too much movies. When the incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan arrived with his wife to cast their vote in his home town, the electronic card reader failed. About an hour before then, the Electoral commission website went down. I told myself something is really going wrong. I remembered that the opposition party All Progressive Congress has contracted a Chicago based company AKPD Message and Media. This company is known for his leading role in Barack Obama's presidential campaigns in 2008 and 2012. I felt very bad for the sitting president that has introduced card reader gadgets to reduce election rigging. This same equipment failed when he wants to cast his vote. Someone has hacked the system, within me that was how I felt since that day.

Today the news reflects my thought, when a UK Channel 4 undercover reported that Cambridge Analytica was involved in the last Kenyan election manipulation. From the very words of Managing Director Cambridge Analytica's political division Mark Turnbull " We staged the whole thing " As reported by Quartz Media.

In response to the question “And what you have done in Kenya?” Turnbull responds by saying (video Quartz Media, starting at 09:07), “We have rebranded the entire party twice, written their manifesto, done two rounds of 50,000 surveys… Then we’d write all the speeches and we’d stage the whole thing. So just about every element of his campaign.”
During the meetings, executives, among them CEO Alexander Nix, spoke about how the company operated, including offering bribes and entrapping public officials using sex workers.

If you follow the news you will remember that Kenyan opposition coalition challenges the results of the polls, citing the hacking of the voting system and the making of a "computer generated leadership" . This is clearly “ weaponization of information “ against the will of the people. This may actually be how it was done in Nigeria and Nigeria was awarded an Islamic dictator that once supported terrorism and one that lack basic understanding of economics and governance. Indeed I was right, something went wrong on that 28th day of March 2015. Our electoral systems were hacked. Our setbacks are caused by foreign interference.
