If you could ask just one question to a Presidential candidate...

...i.e., your litmus test, what would it be?
My question: Do you believe in the concept of "American Exceptionalism"?
Any candidate who answers yes is immediately outing themselves as a bullshit-er.

But I do understand why it would be detrimental to a candidate's chances of prevailing if s/he answered "No". So here is a bullshit answer to that bullshit question: "I believe in the exceptionalism of the American people and our collective spirit. According that status to a nation has proven to be harmful for international relations, and therefore against America's best interests."
