What is Contemporary Issue?

Contemporary issues can be defined as any event, idea, opinion or topic that is relevant to our present day.

Why is it Important?

1. It helps us to be part of a Globalized Community
   - Contemporary issue are always relevant to our present time meaning it has something to do with enhancement and updates. Mankind used this to have access to other resources, other places and other stuffs.

2. It Stimulates Discussion
   - Most of the people can relate when it comes to recent or trending topics. If you asked a question related to this stuff, they will answer immediately.

3. It helps us build Personal Relationships
   - Most of us can relate to it. If we have no topic to tell, we can always talk about the trendy or the recent things. You can have mutual relationships if there is something mutual about your opinions.

4. It helps us make Informed Opinions
   - Because of the information brought to us, we can have are own informed opinions. Informed opinions are opinions based on a factual information. For example, "In my opinion president Duterte is not responsible because in his term more than 20,000 filipinos died on war on drugs according to aljazeera.com." It shows the opinion and the information.

5. I helps us learn about Culture Relativism
   - Relativism comes from the word relativity. It means different perspectives. Because of contemporary issue we can choose are perspective wisely. We can make a stand to issues and fight for what is right.

All people must learn about this. It is simply because it is part of us. It's like saying "why would you care for your country?" because it is your country "why would you care for the world?" because this is your world. Contemporary issue are related to all of this and so are you. Use this to help others and make a better world.
