Education | What is Forest ?

in #education6 years ago (edited)

Forests as an ecosystem not only store natural resources in the form of timber, but still a lot of non-timber potentials that can be benefited by the community through cultivation of agricultural crops on forest land. As a function of the forest ecosystem, it plays an important role in many things such as water supply providers, oxygen producers, living places of flora and fauna, and environmental balancing roles, as well as preventing global warming. As a function of water providers for forest life is one area that is very important, this is because the forest is the growth of various plants.

The forest is an area overgrown with trees and other plants. These areas are located in large areas of the world and function as carbon dioxide sinks, animal habitats, hydrological current modulators, and soil conservationists, and are one of the most important aspects of the Earth's biosphere.

Forest according to the Forestry Law No. 41 of 1999 is an ecosystem unity in the form of expanse of land containing biological resources dominated by trees in the natural environment of one another with inseparable.

Forests are a form of life spread all over the world. We can find forests both in tropical and cold climates, in the lowlands and in the mountains, on small islands as well as in the big continents.

Forests are a collection of plants and also plants, especially trees or other woody plants, which occupy a large area.

The tree itself is a fairly high plant with years of life. So, certainly different from the vegetables or grains that live a season only. Trees are also different because they have prominently a long wooden stem that is long enough and form a clear crown (leaf crown).

A collection of trees is considered a forest if it is able to create a distinctive local climate and environmental conditions, which are different from those outside. If we are in a tropical rainforest, it feels like getting into a warm and damp sauna room, which is different than the surrounding cultivated area. The scenery is different. This means all other plants and animals (to the smallest), as well as various other inanimate elements including the inseparable parts of the forest.
