RE: [ LEARN & EARN - Week#16] There is a massive crisis in Venezuela and some lakes can form deadly gas chambers that suffocate everything in its surrounds.

Im shocked at how bad it is! I havent noticed that all of them have stopped posting but Im not surprised....@cryptosharon are you still there ??

I'm here! Sometimes I have electricity, sometimes I don't, and this morning, I do have some, so I post. But all around the country there are cities with 5 days straight without electricity and access to the internet.

Many internet companies aren't providing their services nowadays because they are also affected by the blackout.

Besides, people have a lot to do nowadays! Many more people than before are running around looking for food and water every day, solving their needs, and Steem, as seems logical, is a second priority.

We are glad youre still here! Please do keep us posted on the situation over there.
Are there any talks of getting the power back on?

No, they can't fix it. It can easily take months. The plants are broken and need replacement parts they don't currently have access to. Instead, they are imprisoning opposition members and journalists because they now have the perfect excuse. "Sabotage!", they scream, and Maduro calls for criminal gangs to intimidate and murder the opposition.

In the first link, you can see that they aren't even trying to transparently solve the issue. They are blocking specialists from accessing any information and are kicking out employees. They want to keep Venezuela in the dark and use it as an excuse to be even more violent and authoritarian.
