Ordinary people have been trying to raise awareness of these environmental issues for years, but few people were listening. Celebrities have a huge audience and, like it or not, a lot of respect. When they speak out, people are listening, hypocrite or not.

What is being said should be more important than who is saying it. Unfortunately that is not usually the case. Some people and their words are more important than others. I don't think like that, but that's just the way the world is. And as things are the way they are, that stronger influence should be used to do good things.
