RE: Ecotrain Question of the Week: The Meditation / Chant Challenge. Meditate for at least 15 minutes every day for one week and write about your experience...
I have a dirty suspicion Sharoon, that I may in fact be a chronic meditator, just snapping over into reality for a meal or some like adventure from time to time - any thoughts on that?
I think chronic meditation or meditating too often isn't healthy. @solarsupermama talked about being in a relationship with a guy whom she thinks was addicted to meditation even though meditation is such a healthy, beautiful practice and that relationship weighed her down. I think one can have addiction to anything and when something turns into addiction, it stops being healthy for you because it then affects the other important aspects of your life. That's just my viewpoint.
I think you are perfectly right @sharoonyasir - I think in fact that was a major contributing factor to the failure of my marriage. Not that my habits are as bad as may seem from my first reply to you (I spent probably on average more than half of each working day doing physical hands on work building up my own services businesses, taking no shortcuts, which may also have contributed to that failure), but nevertheless.
Anyhow, longterm I think I owe it to meditation for having built up a wealth in confidence and understanding giving me a corrosion-proof basis on which to forge ahead.
Thank you!
