I don't know that there need be any dislike included in the definition of nationalism. Let's consider what the opposite of nationalism is, "globalism". Globalists want there to no longer be nations. I think they imagine that this would result in a world where everyone has the same rights liberties and freedoms as Americans enjoy but what is more likely in such a system is that everyone has the rights liberties and freedoms that Chinese people have, none.
