Rick Fox Leaves Echo Fox Following Racist Comments From Shareholder
Former NBA All-Star Rick Fox, the owner of esports organization Echo Fox, is reportedly leaving the organization following an incident where a limited partner allegedly used a racial epithet both in person and via email.
According to a recent report by Dexerto, the decision by Fox came after a partner at Vision Esports, a firm that invested in Echo Fox, used racist language against Fox and former Echo Fox CEO Jace Hall. While the name of the shareholder has not yet been released, it has been stated he used the n-word to describe Hall, who is of African-American descent.
In an email obtained by Dexerto, Fox stated, "The recent outrageous and abhorrent display of pure racism made by a significant Echo Fox shareholder as well as threats to my family have made it impossible for me to continue to remain associated with the company."
The North American League of Legends Championship Series has launched an investigation into the allegations to determine the best course of action moving forward.
We have launched an investigation into the allegations and will respond accordingly, based on available actions within our team agreements and the LCS Rules. -Chris Greeley, LCS Commissioner (2/2)

Fox plans to sell all of his shares in the company and is open to accepting the first proposal that "sits well."
