The earthquake in Myanmar on 28 March 2025 damaged a lot of skyscrapers all over Bangkok, including my brother’s condominium.

Last weekend, I visited my mom (now 92 years old) who stays with my brother in the condominium. I was really glad to see that both of them were safe. And I was very surprised to know that my mom didn’t feel frighten with the earthquake at all which is contrary with me.... haha!

Although, at present, it’s confirmed that there was no major structural damage, I found that there were some cracks and some materials fell from the ceiling in his condominium following the earthquake that made me feel scared.

In the meantime, I went up to the rooftop of the condominium (41st floor) to see the collapsed building which can be seen in the far distance.

According to the official report on 14 April 2025, 41 have been confirmed dead, nine are injured, and 53 remain missing.

The search and rescue efforts are ongoing.

Earthquakes are very terrible sometimes. If only North Korea had not detonated hydrogen bombs on the Pacific Ring of fire.

It's very terrible indeed....
