Let's Choose To Stay (At Least For Now)

Humanity is in the existential danger zone. And the earth is suffocating because of us. we are now facing problems like global warming and lack of resources. This led many people and huge organizations like NASA and SpaceX to search for solutions. The 'right' solution they thought of is of course to make a really sophisticated spaceship to take humans and colonize Mars. That would be a huge step in history. And I hope they succeed at it so everyone might leave this planet and maybe I will stay here with some others who wants to cherish this rich earth not a blank desert that needs decades to plant a tree in it. If that happens, There would be no war for oil because it would be useless. Animals and plants would not suffer anymore. And earth would regain it's balance again. I'm not against the project of populating Mars or any other planet. What i'm saying is why it is hard for us to search for solutions right here . In our true home. Why aren't we already using renewable energy? And why there is still so much hatred and marginalization?
I know all species eventually become extinct but at least we can be smart enough to not accelerate that.
