TikTok, a popular social media application, was punished for collecting data from children's users without permission.
The Federal Trade Commission said that TikTok was fined $ 5.7 million for violating privacy laws on children.

CHILDREN MUST GET APPROVAL
Short videos are shared with the popular application, children under the age of 13 must use parental approval according to federal law. All videos uploaded by people under the age of 13 will also be removed.
The Federal Trade Commission stated that TikTok collects illegal personal data from children and that parents are admitted to the practice without their permission. The Online Privacy Protection Act, called COPPA, imposes parental consent to protect TikTok and similar practices from children under 13 years of age.

NUMBER OF CHILDREN USING THE APPLICATION
Almost all social platforms operating in the United States want users to accept conditions that prohibit all children under the age of 13 from using the application. According to the Federal Trade Commission, the number of children using the TikTok app is quite high.
