Van Gogh's Bedroom
The paintings I want to introduce are Van Gogh's Bedroom in Arles and Bernard Buffet's Interior. The eras in which Van Gogh and Bernard Buffet were born differ greatly. However, they painted about the same subject–bedrooms. What these two pictures have in common is that there’s a small window and a bed against the right wall. Also, the two artists left the bedroom in this painting empty. On the other hand, these two pictures are so different that it may as well be comparable. The difference between the two paintings is the color contrast. While Van Gogh painted various frames on the wall, Bernard did not. Moreover, we can see a woman sitting on a chair in Bernard's work, unlike in Van Gogh's
