RE: What is the best guitar for a beginner?

in #dtube6 years ago (edited)

I would say get the guitar that makes you want to play as you need to put the hours in. I know a lot of people will want the same guitar as their hero, but I also hear that the great players can get their sound with whatever gear they use.

Here's a great video of Joe Satriani playing a really cheap guitar and he sounds like himself. He just struggles when he needs a couple of extra frets.

A great player can make almost anything sound good...well mostly 😂
There are at least two opinions.
One.
If we want authentic tones there is only one way to get them. You need the right tool for the job.
Two
Some people will argue that you can fake it with computer software to a point but in the end you need a Fender Strat to get the legit tone of a Fender Strat.

I'm not so sure these days that those positions holds up any more.
These new guitars have pretty amazing tonal qualities.

The instrument is important but a great musician can make music with just about anything.

We have to remember that all great players became great by practicing relentlessly.

A guitar that you want to play is essential plus some inspiration.

You can get a great guitar for very little money these days. Beginners have it good. I do not buy guitars very often and tend to aim a little higher to get what I really want.
