YouTube's New Bizarre Censorship Plan
The Flat Earth conspiracy theory and other "Borderline Content" will be shadow banned. This announced YouTube last Friday on their official blog. The recommendation algorithm will be adjusted that disinformation will no longer be recommended on the platform. However, YouTube will not take these videos off the site altogether, and will remain available in search results. "We think this change strikes a balance between maintaining a platform for free speech and living up to our responsibility to users," says YouTube on their blog.
I don't support the flat earth theory but to censor them is in my opinion ridiculous. What's your opinion?
