Except they didnt invent it.That was Albert Hofmann who lived and died in switzerland. Hence why its LSD for LysergSäureDiethylamid and not LAD for Lysergic acid diethylamide. It has in fact been used in psychiatry since at least 1947, the CIA didnt start their tests before the 50s. At most they can be said to having been a step towards its popularisation.
