Gold is a terrible store of value. Fiat money is a not a store of value at all, but that's a currency, not an asset. There's no vault of Canadian dollars anywhere, nor should there be. Canada's value is stored in its economy, its businesses, its people, its material, its resources, its culture, its kermode bears, etc. Kudos to this gentleman for understanding that hanging onto a bunch of gold while the price is high is a friggin stupid idea.
