Snorkeling a Beautiful Wide Reef Archway in Kona, Hawaii
On a secluded beach in Kona side of Big Island, I discovered a reef archway that is about 13 feet high and about 7-9 feet wide. I've found other reef archways on Big Island and Maui, but this one is definitely one of the widest to easily swim through. The reef archway was a swim out beyond the coral reef where it drop-off into a sandy bottom.

Yes, the Kona coastline and Maui's west & south coastlines I believe are the best snorkel spots in all of Hawaii. Of course, those who live in Oahu and Kauai could also defend their islands and mention spots, but just my personal opinion!
Snorkeling and scuba diving are great I'm from Puerto Rico so I know what you were talking about it's a whole different world under water.
