Interesting to see you using dtube - just been reading the intro post about that. Unfortunately on my connection (c 2.5 Mb) the video stops and starts too much to watch. I guess some sort of rate adaptation / auto quality selection will be needed to cope with this sort of problem.

Thanks @pennsif that's really useful feedback, I wonder if others will have the same issue. did the video buffer if you paused it?

Yes it does seem to buffer while paused.

Are you involved in the dtube project that you got to use it so quick?

It would be neat if it had some way of detecting insufficient bandwidth and offered up a message like :
"You don't have enough bandwidth to stream this in real time. Please pause the video while it downloads" Then maybe a popup, or a little ping, to tell when it has fully downloaded in the background.

No I have nothing to do with the development of Dtube I'm just an end user that adopted in very early. I think with time the improvements you mentioned will get implemented.
