Drone Footage Of The Fishing Village Of Jamestown - Ghana

in #dtube6 years ago

After finally getting my Ghana drone flying permission and was able to clear the drone from customs, I did my first flight. We went down to the fishing town of Jamestown, right below the famous lighthouse before sunset and tried to capture this unique area of town. Hundreds of fishing boats and fishing huts makes this area of the city very special. We're going to be writing more about Jamestown soon, which includes a walk through the neighborhood and we will be soon visiting one of the famous boxing schools, producing many Ghana boxing champions.

If you're curious about our time here, check out our Ghana Travel Blog.

But now sit back and take a look at this unique Accra neighborhood.

Absolutely wonderful, looks like a big fishing village. Will look forward more about GHANA tour. Love every shot and cinematography.

Thank you so much for your kind comment, this made me happy!

That was good! U chose a nice spot to fly! I keep forgetting you need a permit to fly drones ! Enjoy that valuable toy/content tool. Seems the edit was off the end happens to me sometimes :)

Thank you for checking out our work and your kind words. Permits really depend on where you 're. Here as a foreigner you really need one, otherwise you might face 30 years in prison.

30 years !!! Damn!!! That’s insane!!

Yeah, so I made sure I got everything sorted, not even sure if I would be still alive after those 30 years.

Look at those colors! :D
Happy to hear you're finally flying here with a permit!

You have pictures from the sunset?

Yes .... little preview:

Hehe nice one, looking forward to the final version 😎

Are those fishing boats? That's a lot of fishermen!!!!

You had to get special permission to fly your drone? Is that common? In the States we just fly them...it feels like an invasion of privacy but there's nothing we can do about it.
