LATVIAN CINNAMON BUNS ( BULOCHKI ) - VIDEO
This is a recipe for classic, home-style cinnamon rolls. Fluffy, soft, doughy, and bursting with buttery cinnamon swirls. It’s so easy to make this perfect dough from scratch and you will love this cinnamon buns recipe. My cinnamon rolls are easier than any sweet roll I’ve ever made before. And they are quicker too. Perfect for the baker who wants to learn how to bake with yeast for the first time.
Ingredients : For Dough:
• 250 ml OR 1 cup luke warm milk
• 2 sachets of instant dry yeast ( you can use regular but might take longer)
• 2 eggs, at room temperature
• 80 gr OR 1/3 cup butter, melted
• 100 gr OR 1/2 cup white sugar
• 2 tbsp of vegetable/sunflower oil
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 544 gr OR 3 1/2 - 4 cups bread flour ( strong white flour)
For Filling:
• 220 gr OR 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
• 80 gr OR 1/3 cup butter
Apricot glaze ( optional)
