Bullet Holes and Basketball, Part 2 - Life, Experienced Podcast S2E11

in #dsound6 years ago (edited)

Life, Experienced is a podcast that showcases the unique life experiences of its guests. Hosted and produced by Ethan D. Smith, each episode features an interview with a person who has a unique or interesting story to tell.

Continuing from last week's episode, Duro Bjegovic (@awakentolife) recounts his experiences playing Division I NCAA basketball, returning to Europe to play, and how the playing environments differ across the world.

It was a great privilege to interview my friend and fellow Steemian @AwakentoLife for this week's (and next week's) episode of the show. If you've never heard his story, it's worth a listen!

I just caught up with this interview - fascinating. The bit where Duro's toys were thrown into the river is very moving - though I totally understand why his mother had to do that! But that must have been such an emotional wrench for a small child. The seriousness of the situation must have hit home at that moment. And it must have been so terrible for the parents too. It's fantastic that all that trauma was channelled into something positive - basketball.

Just a wonderful interview with a wonderful person.

Thank you both. Very nicely done.
