Drugwars: Battle Changes Red Alert!

The @drugwars team is about to break the battle system again.
At least they gave us a heads-up this time.

Buy as my rowdies/bouncers as you can afford. Hopefully you won't lose everything.

Explanation

As of tomorrow, units will no longer be grouped, making mercenaries worthless because the 120 damage will just be wasted killing a single rowdy. This also makes snipers and ninjas worthless for the same reason. Even bazookas, that are being given "splash damage" (max 5 targets) will be worthless because they are expensive and 29 damage is still 27 more than you need to kill a Rowdy.

On the flip side. You'll be able to dominate any account that doesn't have a lot of units. You'll be able to swarm any account that only has a single rowdy/bouncer for defense. Seriously, what are you guys thinking?

I'm guessing the thought is more special abilities will be added to the game to fix this shitstorm.

One rowdy dies and they kill the merc. AH DUMB!

Two new units

Hobo

This unit appears to have no HP. They to do 2 damage on the first round and then die without tanking any damage. My guess is that they cost all/mostly alcohol and only a little bit so it is a way to burn excess alch.

Spy

This unit has 0 damage and 1 hp, meaning it is the obvious scouting unit to see what opponents have. Still, we see using this broken system that they will make good tanks:

spy:100
sniper:1
VS
ninja:10

Just kidding... looks like spies get attacked last. So Rowdy will be the best unit by far under this broken system. Bouncers will be pretty good as well, seeing as they take 5 hits from a rowdy to die.


Unit HP being saved

Because of this new system, the algorithm is now saving the values of unit hp (armor) from round to round and attack to attack. In the old system you could tank with a big mama and if it didn't die the hp would reset to 100%. This is no longer the case.

That was me... until today. Robbed, looted, taken advantage of.

LOL. I kind of had fun looking at the mayhem this caused. The again, I invested small potatoes (and made back some french fries already).

Well, the good thing is that it looks like it's going to take a few hundred rowdies to get through my big mama zerg I created before the last rules change.

So I guess I didn't post a solution to this problem:

The entire point of Melee units is that there is only so much room on the battlefield for them to attack. There needs to be a choke-point so only x number of melee units can attack each round.

If it were up to me the ninja special ability would be to come to the front line and attack without receiving damage in return.

There also needs to be a similar choke for ranged units. Only x ranged units can attack at once. Snipers have a longer range so again they have a separate choke.

I'll talk more about this later with video analysis from a game I play.

looks like hobos cost 400 alcohol only. i killed 100 of them scouting with a zero damage spy. they will be good at killing rowdies.
