WHAT IS THE CONCEPTUAL DEFINITION OF DRUG ABUSE?

The General understanding of drug abuse is simply the administration of drugs without prior consent or approval of a medical practitioner. Well, allow us to enlighten you comprehensively on the subject matter "DRUG ABUSE" as it extends beyond the general understanding of it.

NATURE OF STIMULANT
Stimulant are drugs that activate the motivational centres and reduce activities in the inhibitory centres of the central nervous system

MILD STIMULANT

Stimulant include caffeine, which is often found in coffee ,tea ,soft drinks and some nonprescription drugs ,it also include nicotine which is found in tobacco product like cigarettes. These are relatively mild stimulant but are extremely addictive. They pose major health risks though they fall under the socially acceptable drugs or legal drugs.

Smokers report a variety of physical and psychological effect from smoking tobacco. Those new smoking may experience nausea dizziness and rapid heartbeat .Most smokers say they enjoyed smoking which is part of the reason many continued to smoke even though they are aware of the health risk. Taste , smell and visual enjoyment are also major contributions to the abuse.

HIGH STIMULANT

AMPHETAMINE: it goes with the trade names as Dexedrine ,Benzedrine and metheadrine .These are stimulant that generally produce a conscious sense of increased energy, alertness, enthusiasm and an euphoric sense of being High.
They are not physical addicting but produce an intense psychological dependence
Amphetamine physical danger lies in there effect on the Hearts
Psychological they cause amphetamine psychosis, which manifest as distort thinking, confused and rapid changing and intense suspiciousness ,this is a result of excessive use of stimulant.

Addiction is one of the major consequences associated with Drug abuse. The moment an individual becomes addicted, he is perceived to be an epitome and embodiment of all forms of vices.
DRUG ABUSE that has emanated into addiction is a very tough case which will require series of psychological trials & counseling.
