Visit From The Dead In Your Dreams

Understandably, this can be a difficult dream for many people, especially if the person appearing in your is was a loved one. The question often asked is, “Are they really there?”

While it is entirely possibly for this dream to be a visitation from an entity no longer in this physical plane of existence trying to communicate with you, there are some factors we must consider. First, remember that the 2 Universal Principles of Dreams will always apply.

Just like any other dream, the person will be representing an aspect of yourself. Whether a person is alive or passed on, your memories of them are stored in your brain and can be used for communication by your subconscious mind to your conscious mind. Was this person an authority figure in your life such as a grandparent, parent, or teacher? If so, these people will signify your superconscious mind, the part of your mind closest to your Creator and the place of your own Divinity and Inner Authority. Otherwise, you will use one word to describe the person in your dream to understand what part of yourself the person is reflecting.

Now consider this. How is the dead person communicating? Are they verbally and physically speaking, or is it a telepathic projection where you just hear or understand the communication? The answer to these questions are what help to determine whether this is a visitation dream or simply a message.

The person verbally speaking tells us this is a part of ourselves that had changed (death represents change) but is reverting back to it’s old ways of being. If the communication is mind-to-mind, this could indicate a true visitation from the entity within the subconscious dream world. Other signs for a visitation dream are when you can physically smell the fragrance of the deceased even upon waking or the dream is incredibly vivid and life-like.
