My big dog used to be really chill and friendly, my friend who is a dog behaviouralist told me he's one of the few "normal" dogs she's met. I still get comments on how well behaved he is when he's calmly sitting next to me while I'm huddled under a tree or somewhere else out of the way furiously playing Ingress or Pokemon Go, but he's now dog aggressive thanks to some dog that was roaming around at night that decided to randomly attack our small dog while my partner was walking both of them >_< It's really hard work making an aggressive dog not-aggressive again!
My small dog has to stay on a leash for exactly the same reason as yours, also mine is probably going deaf in his old age but has had "selective hearing" since we got him XD
That park looks like a really nice place to hang out, no wonder the guy and his dog and you all like to walk through/hang there :) This piece is so relaxing and idyllic.
Awwww that sucks so bad that your dog's excellent behaviour is ruined >_<.
It's funny but I only realise it after I have my own dogs, they have their own temperament and no matter how often I bring them around to walk outside, it doesn't feel like their behaviour can improve significantly. Though I do notice that they become less secure when I haven't walked them in a few days because I'm lazy the weather is too cold so it's always good to walk often with them.
Thanks for letting me know more about your dogs, fyn :).

that doggo looks like he is giving his opinions sincerely to the guy, like he's like saying something important and he is saying it politely, because he is a good doggo and the guy seems like he's listening and understanding :D :D
i love the composition of the piccar, @scrawly ! the guy seated on the bench, with that pose, and the doggo in front of him, they make a very effective triangular arrangement, with the beanie as the summit of the triangle :D :D
Gorgeous sketch~
Love the details also, like the watch and the guy's outfit and sandals :) And the park and the bench (would totally look 130% awesomer in colours) (HINT HINT)
There's something about it that I'm not completely happy, so I think the best thing is to leave it for a few weeks in the storage until I can make some improvement into it and then work on it some more :D.
@scrawly
Very good drawing I like in simple natural classic and soft to the eye to be able to detail it without being very loaded. I also like to go to the parks a lot, although I usually do it to exercise and take my little cousins.
Very cute drawing!
We love taking our dog to the off-leash park. She gets interested in things here and there, but her strongest drive is to be with her "pack" so she never gets far before searching for us and bolting back. It's actually quite funny to watch.
Ahhh you have a good doggo then, Megan. That's nice of her, to have that strong attachment to her pack. Did you give her special training to do that or is that just instinct?
She is definitely a good doggo. She has her challenges (I’ve nicknamed her “Captain Panic” because of her over-the-top anxiety when we leave her alone) but for the most part she is great. We did a bit of training to get her to come when we call her, but mostly it’s her instinct to want to be with us.
Indeed, I was paying attention to the person for some time since he was busy looking at his doggo. But no, I don't draw there and then in the park. I can't do stuff like that lol.
Dogs are naturally submissive to any creature with a higher pack status.
I agree.

Dogs > cats!
Hehehe, your crusade against kitty is adorable choo XD.
Well, I love a good piece of art with a dog in it, so you know I'm gonna love this!
Donna, we have so much things that we like in common, it's quite uncanny at times. But always pleasant! <3
Thank you :D.
And like today with your witches :) Great minds think alike!

Is this an observation sketch from life?
