Draw an abscian cat with pencils

Hopefully, you are already familiar with my previous works, we already saw gallery paintings of different breeds of dogs in the class gallery (which I have not seen, you can see here) and of course, you know what is about to come year in the Chinese calendar dogs. For him, I prepare seriously and strongly! :)

I prepared a full gallery of year-dog symbols, and in order not to sit and wait, when finally this year will come, I decided that every dog ​​needs a friend! And let these dogs be friends of cats!

So, I started a new collection of pictures under the name "Cat - Dog Friend"! Today I present to you the first work in this group - Cat Absecian.
Recently, I had no idea about the existence of such a strain. And, as it turned out! Here is a funny red miracle hide under this strange name :)

I chose this breed for good! According to Great Google, this breed is considered one of the older cats breeds, and these cats were painted by ancient Egyptians in their paintings. As we know ourselves, without Google, cats in ancient Egypt were revered sacred animals. This cat is described in the description of the cat "solar" and "lapis lazuli", thanks to its warm color and warm orange.

These cats are very graceful, have long paws and an elongated trunk, so they create a stunning silhouette in any position. But we will leave the old silhouettes (they did not have watercolor kraft paper pens, but I have) and we will take pictures of these majestic animals!
Step by step process

We will need kraft paper and watercolor color pens. You can take regular pencils, but I like watercolors more for saturation and capacity coverage.

Everything begins, as always, with shape and main lines.

Once the main lines are selected, just by shading, darken those places that will be shadows. This helps to immediately identify Chiroskuru.

We define the brightest areas:

Now you can work on the details of the drawing in complete relaxation. A small background was added even darker spots, I expand the chromatic spectrum of the image:

Remember that the ancient Egyptians called these "sunny" cats, and added sunny orange and yellow to the color of the cat:
