dragon contest !
Hello Steemy people,
Here is my entry for the pet dragon contest. Meet Fuego:
I sketched him out roughly here,
then inked him in with markers (used a fancy gold paint marker for the eyes), also white gouache for the stars. Dragon tattoo on my monster making arm is also my design.
Lovely drawing, do you maybe have a small story for it? As it looks like a perfect storybook painting :)
Thanks kristyglas. I do have a story percolating. Think he's the kind of dragon who snatches shiny things, he's crow-like. Took that jade necklace in his claws off of a snooty royal person at a boring wedding. Fuego's rock perch is high up in the clouds, he sleeps in a cave on the other side. He was born from a golden egg that incubated inside a volcanic chamber, he's a fire dragon. Very good to have around if you like to bake cookies, he'll breathe on the raw cookies & boom, they're baked. What else. ..Fuego is mostly friendly except when his sleep is disturbed or someone hurts a winged creature, or an egg. Then comes the fire.
Love it, interesting details like incubation and a little humor :D

nice, thought you used pastels but it likes color pencils. Good luck
