Dragonchain, Disney's Blockchain proposal, announces its ICOsteemCreated with Sketch.

In 2016 the project became open source, and aims, among other objectives, to achieve lower costs using existing programming languages.

Every day new proposals arise around Blockchain, projects that reflect the infinite possibilities of this technology and make clear that it is not only focused on Bitcoin and the rest of the criptomonedas. It could almost be said that there are applications based on the chain of blocks for all tastes.

Dragonchain, the Disney platform based on the block chain, which is emerging as the first hybrid ecosystem for business, announced its Initial Currency Offer (ICO), which will start on October 2. The token issued, Dragons, will provide access to ecosystem services and help entrepreneurs who are now looking to develop new applications. Its managers define the platform as "a secure and scalable space, which tries to simplify the integration of the real business applications in a Blockchain".

In addition to what was published by Diario Bitcoin last year, it is worth emphasizing that, with a very innovative component in the Blockchain area, the ecosystem is defined as a hybrid because it offers up to 5 levels of verification, from the basic for transactions to the public check in block chains like Bitcoin or Ethereum. The benefit of this is that applications can achieve a consensus of two types, both in stages: a private one that is trustworthy and a public one without it. The latter will provide verifiable parameters even for deployments that are private. The alternative could provide opportunities for companies viewing the Blockchain road as a very risky one. Said Joe Roets, co-founder of the platform:

Unlike existing platforms, with Dragonchain the user retains total control of their data. It is an ideal platform for companies that crave the ease of use that is missing in their operations. "

According to icrunchdata, Dragonchain managers have adopted a fresh and mature stance around Blockchain and smart contracts, to the point that they have solved some drawbacks associated with the generic deployment of these applications. The web defines it as "a Blockchain of Blockchains", one in which to create a cryptoactive one must establish an instance and select several parameters, such as mining, type of algorithm and to what extent the currency can be divided; unlike Ethereum, platform that requires the use of the Solidity programming language, in Dragonchain it is possible to use Python, Java, NodeJS and C # and any database management system, although the reference implementation is PostgreSQL.

Whereas Disney is one of the most iconic giants in the entertainment industry, thanks to its cartoons and movies, the secure distribution of data is of great importance to the company. Dragonchain is an initiative that meets the requirements to be defended by the company and it will be interesting to see what applications are incorporated into the platform as its development progresses.
