Big companis obviously provide a service and make the product better. But for starter or semi amateur boys and girls steemit could be a valid option.

There's a Netflix special about Amatuer porn that was actually pretty interesting. They were actually saying that people are kind of sick of overproduced porn from LA and that amatuer stuff with real people filmed more Gonzo style was actually what's even more popular now days so that may actually be an advantage as opposed to a disadvantage doing something on a smaller scale.
