Defense of the Ancients 2 (Dota2) is a free online battle arena video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. Dota 2 is played in matches two teams of five players, which each team occupying and defending their own separate base in the map. Each of the ten players independently controls a character, known as "hero" who all have unique abilities and differing styles of play.

Development of Dota 2 began in 2009 when IceFrog, the pseudonymous lead designer of the original Defense of the Ancients mod, was hired by Valve to create a modernized version. Dota 2 was officially released for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux-based personal computers via the digital distribution platform Steam in July 2013, following a Windows-only public beta phase that began two years prior. The game initially used the original Source game engine until it was ported to Source 2 in 2015, making it the first game to use it. (http://liquipedia.net/dota2/Dota_2)

However, different people claims that this game is just a waste of time, and only destroys relationships of people because players tend to focus more on this game than with their loved ones that results to misunderstanding.

But let me tell you that if you just know how to manage your time, and if you are just reponsible, it wont happen to you.

Despite of those negative claims about this game, let me show you the some positive impacts of Dota 2.

First, it develops your social skill. Since you meet different people every time you play this game, it allows you to facilitate interaction and communication with others where social rules and relations are created.

Second, it improves your reaction time. Dota 2 is a competitive game which allows you to use all of your senses in order to initiate kills and prevent being killed. Having an improved reaction time will help you achieve those.

Third, it develops strategic thinking. Strategic thinking is extremely effective and valuable tool in the game that leads the team in winning.
