I'd like to begin my entry by thanking @dobartim for making lots of competitions and contests that motivate steemians. All of his contests have proven to be straightforward and easy to register for and he has ensured a way by which even newbies to the community can either showcase their talents, skills and abilities.

_Back to the subject matter of this entry, my name is Gbenga Awojinrin. I got admitted into a university last year and am through with my first year.
My two younger brothers whose pictures are up there(the first one is Wisdom and the second is Simon) are through with their secondary schooling(known as high school in some countries) and are about writing entrance examination into universities.
Wisdom intends studying Law while Simon is gunning for the Banking industry. High ambitions right?
I joined steemit December last year and ever since have been trying to get them to open accounts. Due to the fact that I was in school then, I could not take them through the whole process and so they always got stuck. I returned home recently and have assisted them in applying for accounts though they are yet to be approved.
Wisdom is teaching in a primary school right now to raise money for his exams and Simon does daily labourer jobs for the same purpose. I told them about steemit because I saw this as an avenue for them to do something they already love while earning from it, even enough to see them into school.
If I were to be a beneficiary of a donation large enough, I intend to get two mini laptops for them as I'm quite convinced this would help them in more ways than one.

First and foremost, it'd be a physical proof to them of the fact that there's a lot to be gained by being a member of the steemit community.
In addition, it would make the whole steemit experience much more pleasurable for them as they'd be able to create better posts using a fully operational system that has more capabilities than their phones.
I don't need to overemphasize the fact that having a laptop and being productive members of this community could grant them financial independence.
In addition, from personal experience this past year, I've discovered that a lot of materials for learning can be gotten in soft copy. Which is why I feel having laptops of their own would smoothen their education as they will gain access to materials which are extremely expensive in hard copy.

So here I draw the curtain and pray that my entry is considered as this could be a turning point for my brothers involved.
