Celebration of Bengali New Year 1425 in Malaysia
The Pohela Boishakh mostly signifies the first day of the Bengali Calendar and is celebrated as a National Holiday in Bangladesh and West Bengal of India. This day has been celebrated for more than 450 years since the Reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar. It demonstrates the true Bengali Identity of more than 300 Million Bengali speaking people around the world. The purpose of this program is to show and exchange our Bangladeshi traditional culture with local and international students.
This was our very first Bangladeshi cultural program at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).
