Our Tales From The Thousand Lakes challenge this week features two songs by one of the most beloved Finnish composers, Oskar Merikanto (1868-1924).

"Soi Vienosti Murheeni Soitto" (translates "Play softly, thou tune of my mourning") is a beloved tune in the Finnish songbook.

"Valse Lente" is a beautiful waltz for the piano, now reworked as a 4/4 power ballad that works like a charm!
