Hi Friends,

The Muse project is currently running a financial health series as we discuss money and abundance this week. The topic of money is such a rich topic full of nuances and varying emotions. I decided to try something a little different and do a totally “uncut” video. This basically means I have no edits and you guys are just hearing me share from the heart on my experience and stories with money.

In this video, I talk about how money can either be a tool for freedom, or a tool for bondage – depending on how you use it. I also get into my family origin stories and talk about the crazy upbringing I had around money and how that has affected my financial decisions as an adult.

I really appreciate you all giving me the space to share my story in this raw, unedited way.

If you are interested in being a guest author for the Muse Project - Please send your questions or submissions to @ogc via [email protected]. Also, feel free to ask questions in the comments below and we'd be happy to help!

With Love,

Hey! I love this topic, I don't get it why others didn't make a comment before! It's so inspiring that you open up your heart and talk about your own story, thank you for that, I totally needed to see that.
I relate so much to what you say, the relationship we have with the word money and how we feel about it really determines our experience with it. Same with other believes. Also, I believe that managing your money wisely can set you free. I'm living a way more modest lifestyle than before but I'm affording to live a life in which I work in what I want and feels right to do.

I think you would like my content too, I write and vlog about the law of attraction and positive mindset. I love this muse project! Would love the collaborate sometime with you too!

Cheers!
Mindi

Thanks for the inspired response!! I love talking about law of attraction and positive mindset kind of stuff - and so i'm excited to be your newest follower! hehe

Thanks for sharing your experience with my video and how you related to it. I couldn't agree more that proper money management has so much potential to set us free. So great to hear that you have gotten to a place where you can afford to live the life you want and work in a way that makes you feel inspired. That is HUGE! So few people can truly say that in their lives.

Thanks for reaching out to collaborate too! One way that you can get involved is that we are always looking for guest authors. We usually post a "topic" for the week and accept post submission on that topic. Last week was money and abundance - and we will be posting the next topic soon. :)

if you have any other thoughts or ideas for collaborations - we are all ears too! :)

Big love! <3

AAaahhhh, thanks for the follow and welcome on board!

Hi Mindi! I’ve heard a lot about you! I’d love to have you submit something to the Project! We are putting up a new topic today, I’m working on the post right now.

I was raised to be very conservative when it comes to money. As a result, like you, I’m not a big fan of debt. Still, we need to face reality. We live in a debt based economic world. Even our currency, money in the eyes of most people, is borrowed into existence by governments issuing bonds. It’s a debt instrument, one which has shown to lose value over time through inflation. History has shown that all debt based economic models eventually fail in the long run .

In such an environment it doesn’t make much sense to save. Let’s face it, in an hyperinflationary currency event even an overindebted individual will fare much better compared to the most frugal saver. Does this mean we should suddenly take on loads of debt?

Probably not. Fact of the matter is that the world is currently in a financial state it has never been in in the history of human kind. Low interest rates, expensive stock and real estate markets mean that all classical portfolio management strategies go right out of the window. Nobody, not even professional money managers, seem to know how to best handle the situation.

The answer is usually to have a little bit of everything, including debt. Debt, which people with good credit, can now take on with near zero or sometimes even negative cost when structured correctly. It allows you to free up cash for other investments. Besides that, it is probably wise to own some currency alternatives such as precious metals and crypto’s in case of a currency crises.

In the end nobody knows what the future will bring. One can only hope for the best.
