Constructive criticisms and holding our government accountable is a good thing, but we can do more - actively contribute to the development of our nation in our own little way which is why @edusteem exists.
A group of passionate Nigerians (@eugenecr7 and @maryfavour) thought of how to contribute to and better the lives of school children who sit on the floor to take lessons and have very limited to no writing materials. That was how @edusteem project was born.

Our Vision

The @edusteem team has a clear vision- No child in Nigerian schools will lack key stationeries and facilities which promote lifelong learning.

How Edusteem Is Improving Education in Nigeria

Team @edusteem is committed to visiting schools in different regions and States in Nigeria to distribute free steem branded excercise books, pens and other stationeries to indigent students. First visit was to Government Secondary Schhool Mararaba, Nasarawa State. Note: The video clip uploaded in dlive is from the maiden outreach of the @edusteem team held on the 28th of February, 2018. The school children in the video were singing the Nigeria National Anthem. Since then, the team has held three (3) other meetups with Nigerian youths as reported in this post, the most recent one was announced on the blog post of @oliverwilliams, one of the team members.

New Steem Registrations Through @edusteem

Two Steemians @ochenats and @ginaudie have succesfully registered their steem accounts and need to start steemit school in earnest. More are waiting for approval of their accounts.

Call To Action & Appeal For Support

We @edusteem are rising up to the responsibility of reaching out to 5 million indigent school childrenin each of the 6 geopolitical regions in Nigeria to give school stationeries and facilities. Please, support us to bring the vision of @edusteem project to fruition. This campaign would be taken to fundition.io too. Thank you.
