Kenicamz Episode #10

Since I'm re-upping this vlog from YouTube to @Dlive I don't wanna repeat what I've already said about it here, so check there for some back story. Today I'm recycling my original content by sharing extra promo pics and attempting to offer some "value" in the nsfw tag.

For those of you who do not know, there's a lot of spamming and flagging abuse in the nsfw category. I'm not saying I know the absolute answers to resolve this. What I can do is share some best practices I've learned along my path while doing my best to produce quality content. Notice I've stated nsfw in the title, used a safe-for-work image as my thumbnail and included nsfw in my tags. These important and voluntary gestures to the wider community show that you are taking responsibility for your adult content.

Next I feel it's important but not mandatory to offer a disclaimer notifying others about your content. There is some debate about using nsfw as the primary tag. This is problematic for a number of reasons and my stance is that I do not. Firstly a nsfw primary tag auto-hides your post from your followers and search feeds. Secondly as more dapps are released it is clear that they are claiming first tag preferences.

If you are being responsible with your thumbnails and marking your content clearly, I do not agree that you must be auto-hidden. Protecting other users sensitivities is already a respect above and beyond what I have seen posted in many opposing "puritan" comments. Expressing sexual freedom is a natural human right and it may even help others heal from this unhealthy sex shaming culture we still live in today. Being your sexy self and having fun sharing this with consenting adults it is not a crime!

As with all self regulating communities, things are constantly changing and evolving. However from various discussions with influential witnesses, the above practices should protect you from any flags from @steemcleaners. What individuals do is their own discretion, however you should know that we too have protection from abusive flagging. If you feel you are being targeted unfairly, I recommend reporting it in the Freeze Peach and NSFW discords. It's not snitching, it's self-defense and there are whales who will help us stand up for liberty!

Right now that the foreplay is well and truly taken care of, it's time to get stuck in. What we as a community need to ask ourselves is what value are we providing? Entertainment is highly subjective of course and you don't have to a make ridiculously long and boring post about community guidelines to prove your nsfw content is worthy. Truthfully you only answer to yourself, are you happy with your own quality? Did you have fun creating and sharing with your followers? Did you do your best to satisfy your own standards?

Making more effort to improve our content quality may be the most powerful thing we can do for our nsfw community. It will distinguish our efforts as being valuable and not simple porn spamming. We have far too many people posting throw away selfies and headless dick pics in my opinion. At risk of sounding like a royal dickhead here, I just feel we can do better and be better if we really want to earn more acceptance and recognition. Isn't it everyone's dream to be rewarded for doing what they love and enjoy? Isn't it worth making the effort to create this reality?

After all my rambling I hope this inspires somethings to think about. If not then I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Just two naked people doing naked things, enjoying each other and sharing themselves with those who'd like to see. I know for most people porn is not a big deal, however for us who are living it.. it is. We've been marginalized, ostracized and even criminalized for our work.

As the world's first decentralized social media platform, full of libertarians, anarchists, freedom fighters and activists.. this should have been our greatest safe haven!

It is possible for our ideas and world views to co-exist in this space. We just have to take a honest look at ourselves and respect each others rights to be.

Today's ramble is done.

โŒ Correction.

It seems even though the information I had gathered is brand new. If you include nsfw anywhere in your tags order you will be auto-hidden regardless, unless a user has specifically opted to always show nsfw content in their settings.

This only further shows the lack of consensus on the topic and even witnesses in influential positions do not have the full information as to how the community guidelines effect adult content creators.

I am leaving my nsfw tag in, however I do not feel it is fair to be automatically reduced in this way and will be reassessing this choice for future posts.

Great post! Super informative and helpful! When I start posting I will remember these tips! Thanx so much! ๐Ÿ˜˜

Lol hello sexy lady, looking forward to your posts! Finally :)

Just jumping on to point you to this FYI. https://steemit.com/dtube/@dtube/curation-and-economic-update

Yeah appreciate that bro, thanks. The comments was interesting too eh? I think it's awesome that they're being accountable for their funding and delegations. Asking for more diversity for delegated curators is a step in mending some bridges too. Though I'm sure those who've struggled with their actual tech and functionality have already made their minds up. Here's to success for all steem-based dapps! ๐Ÿ‘

Didn't went through the comments. I'll leave that to those who are interested.
On one hand competition is good and on another hand it is diluting an already small audience.
In the end I'd go with the competition and let the best dapp win.
Cheers :)

I feel there is space for all and content is king. I'll go with the content I enjoy the most ;)

I do believe the tag brings up a lot of issues with it. While strange, because exactly THAT tag is used for a specific reason

Thanks for the comment Karin, yeah it is strange. I often find myself asking why are people who don't like nsfw clicking on nsfw? Lol however in my years I've grown to be more gentle with those who have inner conflict. Especially around sexuality and even nudity, there's a lot of healing to be done.

Really so nice dlive-video.
I appreciate your dlive.

Thanks for your comment.
