Lol I'm far from 1000. I'm like 6 months in. I've got a mortgage dude - if ive got 1300 im putting it toward camera gear - I invest my content / time. I'll get to 1k soon enough. All the best. E.
camera gear? ehhh nahhh u use what u have and use ur steem post rewrads to buy the camera gear... cameras are toys and i see peopel ibvesting what could have been a large bag of crypto into freakin a pretty worthless bulky canon camera that they will never use mro ethan a smartphone anyway honestly, a DRONE would be WAY better
if u want to invest in something get a DRONE and start uploading drone footage to steem now THAt will get u the upvoted and pay off
also mortgage is no excuse we all have mortgages and rent some of us just dont always talk about it like some excuse not to invest at same time :) and 6 months in? aw come on shoulda been able to accumulate 200 SP a month! why u no post everyday on dlive or dtube? lol theyre practically givin away upvotes!
Hey man - all good points - but let me clarify some things - I use my camera/ gear for part of my job - it's not a bulky canon - but a sweet compact mirrorless a7sii - I use it way more than my cellphone. it goes everywhere with me - I often don't have my cellphone on me actually.
I've got a drone - Mavic pro lol - but the laws in Canada are so fucked up - Plus where I live I cant fly it without running the risk of a huge ticket because of how close i am to airports / confiscation. $1k+ ticket and loss of $1500 drone? no thanks. They dont even have to catch you in the act - you uploading the footage puts you at risk.
To safely fly it I need to travel pretty far / go through a shit load of red tape in terms of clearances / permits. How ever I've got a bunch of footage already - its just a time thing. things that are actually paying me take priority over stuff i do for fun. Clients come first. But ill take your advise and start cutting some stuff together.
In terms of the mortgage/ investing - I just cant justify the spending of funds / investing just yet - priorities - That's all I'm trying to say.
With all due respect - I think your wrong regarding the 200 SP a month bit. Maybe in certain niches that's possible. Post a video every day? If I had the time I would be - My videos take time both to shoot and edit - I'm not about spending 3-5hrs shooting something and another 6 editing it to make $1 or less. This is not my full time gig.
Anywho - the reply was appreciated. I'll buckle down and post more. If my content is what I'm bringing to the table - you're right - I should be bringing more if it.
