Oh man that is awesome. I can see 3D Printing as being the change the manufacturing industry needs. It'll bring manufacturing back to countries who stupidly gave it up such as here in New Zealand.

I'm seriously looking forward to seeing how 3D Printing is going to affect the world's economy and access to parts et al. It's already getting a lot of use here in NZ due to our location and I can see it developing more.

The trade off is though that there would be more plastics being used but if there's a simple method of converting that plastic back into a base "ink" product then I can see this as solving a lot of problems the world over.

Also imagine the reduction in carbon by way of reducing the need to move products around the world. I'm loving where this technology is going to take us if only we can avoid getting the fat cats and politicians getting in the way of its development and use.
