More electric cars means more destructive mining

Destructive mining for lithium and cobalt is required in order to make the electric vehicles world a reality. Does it worth it?...Some might say yes, some might say no, but for sure we cannot stop it until we come up with another sustainable and cheap energy to push the vehicles on and on...
