The New York Giants were rumored to be the leaders to get Matt Rhule as head coach.

This is why it was a surprise that Rhule spurred the Giants for the Carolina Panthers.  He received a massive contract, 7 years, despite never coaching in the NFL.

Giant fans might not be happy with Rhule but they should look at the team.  Reports are that Rhule offered the Giants a chance to convince him to get on a plane for his interview.

The Giants passed on matching the enormous deal.  It was out of their range.
