GM Will Start Laying Off More Than 4,000 Workers on Monday | Fortune

General Motors announced last November that it was laying off up to 17,000 workers along with closing plants and eliminating a car line. It is expected that the first 4,000 of those workers will be let go on Monday. This is in the middle of a transition of the automobile industry. With electric and autonomous just around the corner, car manufacturers are having to make some tough decisions.
