Cyntoia Brown is granted clemency after serving 15 years in prison for killing man who bought her for sex
The Governor of Tennessee granted clemency to Cyntoia Brown for the 2004 killing of a man who bought her for sex. She shot him in the head while he slept and took his money and ran. She was 16 at the time.
A court found her competent to stand trial as an adult and convicted her. She received a life sentence.
