Here in the states, we are slow to embrace bullet trains. We decided on cars a long time ago and that is where the focus still is.

Well, you also have the busses as mass transport... the bullet train is something special because you can reach your destination in a shorter period of time. We have it here in Europe and these trains travel in most of the countries of EU and is quite effective.
