Hemp houses could be greener, fire-resistant and built like Lego

A company has created hempcrete. This is a biomaterial made from the core of hemp. It is a combination that allows for the potential to change construction. The blocks are completely environmentally friendly.

The hemp plant can keep being regrown, like all biomaterials, to provide a consistent stream of materials. One of the challenges which we saw with biofuels was the fact that a lot of land is required.
