Making predictions is a very difficult process. This is multiplied the longer the time frame of the forecast. 35 years ago, the famed scientist Isaac Asimov took a shot at predicting the future. On some he was way off base, like one world government. On others, like robots, he was a bit closer.

Well many of his predictions came true, but I think it's mostly by luck. No one can predict how technology will evolve with the years, let alone to ssay what impact it will have on our lives.
