Diwali: festival of light.

Diwali is a festival celebrated in india. also known as festival of light. it is a celebration for when lord ram came back to ayodhya after 14 years of exile plotted against him. brother laxman and wife sita decided to go with him in jungle.

while in jungle, demon king named ravan kidnapped sita to marry her. to save sita from ravan, ram & laxman with an army attacked and won the battle. the day when he killed ravan is celebrated as dusherra. after that ram came back to ayodhya with his brother and wife. that day is celebrated as diwali.

we celebrate this day by lighting diyas, there is light in every house this day. some people do celebrate this day with crackers as well. this year diwali is on 7th of november.
